Hey there, Fantastical Power Mongers!

Was in the neighborhood and thought I'd drop by for a visit!

My health has been much improved...I re-entered the workforce last summer and am currently in fast-food management!  (It's way too many hours and I'm looking to get back into public service.)

Been perusing the boards...I like what you've done to the place.  Budget's a good idea...fun for nerds like myself.

Congratulations, Mr. Ford, on your Moderation!

Don't recognize anyone on the roster of existing office holders!  Hope you guys are having fun and that the Russians aren't being too sneaky.

Really enjoyed my time here back in the day.  Hope you're having fun in 2006!

I'll be around for a minute or two if you'd like to post and chat a bit.  After that, I'll check on you guys in early '08 or so...  Tongue

Hiiiiiiiiiiii-dee-ho-o-o-o!!!

How goes it, guys?  I see the EEOC still needs to come in and kick butt.

Hey, Jedi!  As much as my vainglorious ego was probably fishing for the suggestion, it's not possible.  Thanks a million for the the thought.

So y'all catch me up on what's been evolving the past year and a half?  What's new in Fantasy Government?  (Do I see our inactive office-holder ejection system still at work?)  Being a representative sure ain't easy, is it?  Don't know why anybody runs at all...  Wink

Just a different way of cataloging the boards basically. There's been a load of new ones.

PS - Hi.

Hmm, did you leave before PBrunsel was elected?

Oct 2004 - PBrunsel/Keystone Phil elected President

There was an economic crisis with China, PBrunsel was unpopular. KEmperor declared for President against him in December. Al/Siege and Lewis Trondheim/True Democrat (new PA guy) ran against him.

Feb 2005 - Our own Mike Naso (Reaganfan) ended up winning election to the Senate, the Voting Booth was deleted, and Lewis won the presidency. Lewis declined to accept it and True Democrat became President.

The rest is hard to explain and involves alot of guys who arrived after you.

New Constitution and we went back to Regional Senators. Nothing else structure wise though, except lots of regional-federal powers debates and the introduction of a budget. Lots of election controversy.

And yes, hell froze over Tongue

Oh now, Al...you thought everything was already in a hellish handbasket.  Tongue

Regional Senators...wow.  To tell you the truth, I've forgotten how they worked.

Hey, is Ernest still in these parts?  (I noticed Hughento left in a huff.)

Jake:  I don't remember the brown "C" affiliation...what are you?

Just Senators elected from Regions. I'm the Southeast's Senator.

Ernest is running for the Midwest Seat after distinguished service as the Southeast Governor and service on the Supreme Court.

Dave added new avatars and I adopted the Constitution avatar because it looked better for Louisiana.

Yes, I've always thought Louisiana looked better in brown!

'C' for Constitutional Party?  How fun!

Green Party?  But I still have Green for independent...what color is the 'Green Party'?---Oh scratch that...I see you're Hunter Green.

Howdy, Cheese!  Everything you've heard is complete bull.  Don't believe a word of it.  I was a tyrant.  But you get the best praise at eulogies when they've finally gotten rid of you...  Tongue

Akno!!

How you been, partner?

Have to step out this afternoon for a while...I'll try to revisit tonight and expect everyone to have come and hi.  Do it or I will hunt you down like a low-down dirty dog.

Yours,
Niles

Howdy, Niles.

From the present GM to one of our past former great ones.  Smiley

As to your question in the other thread, I actually think I arrived on the scene in fantasy politics in early December 2004, when you took you final hiatus.  I was a Senator for a while here, then I filled the position of GM when John Ford went to run for Pacific Gov.  I don't know who you're thinking I am, but as long as it's not Mike Naso I'll be quite happy.  Smiley

Anyway, it's glad to see you back.  The I-TX avatar is sort of homage as well, though I am originally from Texas (Houston).

Turns out I have internet access here after all...

Verin!  [waves his unconcious face with a hand-held fan...]

Nice to meet you, Sam!  (I'm a huge Bogey fan.)  I like your paper!
Big job isn't it?  I bit off a bit more than I could chew back in the day.  Got pretty absorbing...didn't get through a tenth of my story-arc agenda.  Looking back I see I was way too technocratic given the four-month term cycles.
