Could he? Possibly if he's not in jail by 2023. Should he? Hell no.

I don't think he'd run let alone win (but hey, you never know anymore), but regardless, it'll blow my freaking mind if J.B. Pritzker of all people comes out of his tenure as Governor of Illinois unscathed, be it politically &/or ethically.

He would probably have to avoid all legal and ethic controversies and prove himself in 2022 by winning far greater than the Democratic baseline in the state if it is a Democratic year or winning roughly the same if it is a GOP leaning year.

But his leadership has been amazing.

No, due to fact he is the face of Blagojevich and the only person who was exempt from the Blago scandal was Lisa Madigan and she retired

IL had Obama already and he pandered to Biden in the campaign,  I doubt, they want someone that looks like Blago as Prez

The Illinois governor who should have been president was Jim Edgar.

An Edgar-Baker ticket today would be a landslide victory nationally.

I'll say, as someone who voted for Biss in the primary, Pritzker has been better than I thought he would be (though I shouldn't have to pay $150 a year to renew my license plate sticker). That said, the man still oozes sleaze and would thus be a Delaney tier candidate and thus would never get anywhere near the Oval Office.

I think this crisis alone would elevate him above Delaney-tier to, say, Beto-tier, but yeah, that's still not winning material.
