Too many nationwide fans and the Belichick relationship taunts many liberals from being fans of the Patriots.  Look at the Patriots forum, which if full of right wing nuttiness.

The question is difficult as NFL fans lean right and even in liberal states are not besmarks of progression.

The Falcons--with a very active African-American fan base based in Atlanta.  The Republican fan goes out and cheers for UGA.
