...Jared Moskowitz. Not sure if he’ll be coming in 2022 or 2026, but you heard it here first. He’s doing a bang-up job with the virus and is receiving a lot of praise from the likes of Matt Gaetz (who is way more bipartisan than blowhards like Francis Rooney) and DeSantis. He’s the one to watch, not the Agriculture Commissioner.

You heard it from me first about Gillum, and you’ll hear this from me first now Tongue

I never once for a second believed he’d win, mainly because I had been aware of his indiscretions since 2015. I thought the polls were off and that DeSantis would win by a 52-48ish margin.

Why would he run against DeSantis in 2022 though?

Also, DeSantis has gotten a lot of criticism for his poor handling of the CoronaCrisis.

He won’t, unless he’s purged or resigns from the cabinet.

Also, DeSantis has gotten a lot of criticism for his poor handling of the CoronaCrisis.
I haven’t heard anything from anyone either way.

Kansas will elect twenty Democratic governors before Florida elects one.  Otherwise, post-Gillum I take any Sanchez prediction about FL as gospel. Tongue

All I can say is that every article/tv news story I’ve seen about DeSantis’ response has made it sound like things are a Sh!tshow in Florida (refusing to close beeches, restaurants, etc until well after everyone else, general bureaucratic incompetence, etc, etc)

Btw people made fun of Gaetz for the mask, was that just him making fun of corona or bringing it to light as an issue?

Probably a combination of both.

When he did it, people lambasted him because it was seen as him making fun of people who were (evidently rightly) worried about the coronavirus. Once it became clear that sh*t was gonna get real, he tried to claim that his wearing the mask was actually an attempt to bring it to light as an issue.

Knowing Matt Gaetz, it was the former & when he realized he looked really stupid, he tried to save himself by claiming it was the latter.

Again, really not sure why being associated with DeSantis' coronavirus response would be even remotely helpful in a Florida election.  DeSantis might as well be the Mayor from Jaws.

I think DeSantis could be revealed to be the mastermind behind COVID-19 and FL Dems still would be utterly incapable of taking advantage of that. This is the party that couldn’t beat the guy who orchestrated the largest Medicare fraud in history after all

Jared Moskowitz  and Lauren Book will both make a run for it and would do well.

Nikki Fried could run and not win.

Anna Eskamani will try for Senate and lose.

She's gonna try for State Senate before she tries for the U.S. Senate.

Quick question: Has there been any Iranian Americans in Congress before?

Who knows. But it will happen. Probably by someone unexpected and below the radar.

I mean wasn't Nevada in similar straits, and then someone as unassuming as Sioslak won...admittedly, yes, he was helped by 2016's affects and Heller underwater, but still.
