Normally I'd be concerned that he hasn't even logged in in about a week except he's obviously busy planning a wedding and this place was at the time clearly not healthy for him, so he's probably doing fine and should take some time off. I'm sure he'll be back at a healthier time.

Anyway, obvious FF even if his over the top reactions and dooming got a bit annoying, although at least more understandable than the likes of SnowLabrador. Again I bet he'll be back at a much healthier time.

Will miss him (hopefully, it will be temporary).  Like me, he laments the fact that the Democrats have abandoned much of the flyover part of the country that now makes it much harder to win presidential elections and/or to hold the House or Senate.

Anyway, good to know that he realizes that this board was not healthy for him at this time--and he has far more important things in his life which mean much more to him than dooming or bedwetting about the next election.

I'll go with FF because he does speak his mind (and I guess as a fellow loud Israel defender), and isn't someone susceptible to groupthink -- and also for a fellow lifelong ENTP -- but I must say that he veers a little towards the intolerant at times, and is sometimes too quick to dismiss arguments. (Like, I think when we had our disagreement about McCarthyism I was stating simple facts, and he took it extremely negatively. In general, I think Special Tasks should be assigned reading in American high schools.)

I'm happy that he's getting married, though. Mazal tov!

HP, he said before he left that Biden is too old. I am a D not a Biden hack, as long as Biden trails in polls I have donated zilch. But, he is known to make R nut maps. I only donate to Congressional Ds

Even my family has words about Harris, guess whom supports Harris Obama did, even my family says she is a poor Veep.

Where is Harris with each day Biden loses in non QU polls, but I still have faith it's votes not polls that count

I am a Eday judge I have to stay above the fray and hope that Biden wins

The problem.is that he critiqued Biden not the way I do it but he said he was too old. I have gripes about his scandals

In all seriousness:

1. Thank you all for the well-wishes. I truly appreciate them!

2. I have been fine, for the most part. I went through kind of a rough patch for a few weeks though, in every sense of the word. Overwhelmed by life in general -- including my personal life and my relationship with my fiancee (we're not married yet but thanks to all the well wishes on that too), my work life, and just being overwhelmed and a bit dismayed by the state of the world in general.

After I went a little off the deep end on here a while back, to instant regret, I quickly realized that this site -- as much as I love it! -- isn't always the best thing for my state of mind and I needed to take a step back. So I did.

Even after making that last post, I was clearly kinda intoxicated while I did, and while I don't exactly disavow any of it, I wouldn't say it's one of my best posts either.

It's clear now that this election is gonna be a rough and tough one and, between that and all the chaos in my own life outside of it, I may well be a less frequent poster here compared to 2020. But I will try to chime in whenever I have the time to AND feel like it's not gonna consume me too much, in terms of time or mental energy.
