So...a Goldwater Republican walkout, and what seems to be the prototypical phase of a Humphrey indie bid.

Yes. All of yes I can muster.

If anyone has any questions on how Wallace won, feel free to ask

I will give my own thoughts on how Wallace won:
- Supercharged turnout in the South due to Wallace being the nominee.
- The combination of soothing the worries of the establishment and his populism appealing to working class people.
- Goldwater refusing to endorse Nixon meaning that many conservatives would support Wallace instead.
- Humphrey maybe took more away from Nixon than Wallace by running his independent bid.
-12 years of continuous Republican Party control of the White House.

This is just what i think are the potential reasons. Feel free to correct me otherwise.

This is going to be a wild ride. Can't wait to see what happens, especially with the midterm elections.

Before results, for whom do you cast your ballot?

Romney/Brooke of course! Send a message to the country by having the first African-American Vice President! And getting rid of Wallace of course.

What do you make of his platform other than just being better than Wallace?

A return to a consistent economic policy will be great. I basically agree with the platform, though obviously for some things i would desire for it to go further, one of those things being healthcare.

I support RFK and McGovern, but since it seems like RFK will be denied at the Convention Floor i will support Romney/Brooke for the General Election.

Well it looks like it's now Romney/Brooke time for me again, considering the shenanigans that happened at the DNC and all. Can't wait to see Wilbur Mills get destroyed McGovern style.

How do ya'll feel about the convention shenanigans?
Quite distraught over the fact that Wallace's Worker pulled it off.

Me thinks that an October Surprise might be in store for us since Bayh and Bush did well in the Debates.

Looking forward to the next update! I am also really hoping that it isn't foreshadowing a more direct intervention in Iran. Although given the company that Glenn is in, i wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.
