Discuss with maps

I think RFayette wins rather easily as I think he sweeps the first 4 primaries and that effectively ends the primary as he then goes in with lots of momentum on Super Tuesday and maybe sweeps there too.

I would obviously vote for RFayette as well

I'd vote for RI in such a case actually.

Not sure whether he or RFayette would win out overall though.

I agree that RFayette is the most centrally-positioned of us three for a GOP primary, and thus has an advantage, but I think you're underestimating how much variance there would be in a primary like this. John Dule and I would both be pretty big wild cards who could attract unconventional coalitions.

Dr. RI / RFayette

PosterUpsideDownside
RFayetteMcCain 2008Cruz 2016
Dr. RITrump 2016Buchanan 1992
John DulePaul 2008Cain 2012

Couldn’t give you a map. GOP primaries seem to be more random due to the lack of minorities.

Rfayette would probably win, and for who I would vote for?
Really tough to say between Dule and RF for me, Ideologically obviously dule and I like him as a poster but Rf's definitely been one of the most helpful posters to my real life.

John Dule/RFayette

GOP primary maps are hard to create for the reason heatcharger stated, but here's one anyway:

Congressman RFayette of California
Congressman John Dule of California
Congressman RI of California

This map assumes that RI drops out and endorses RFayette after Super Tuesday 2.  He wins a plurality in one state - the most educated state in the country.

I... I'd have to vote John Dule, he'd be much better for LGBTQ and women's rights than the other two (who are virtually no different- RFayette is personally nice but he recommends some of the most awful posts in Atlas, including gems that compare abortion to slavery). Other Atlas posters might care more about civility than human rights, though Tongue I think Dr. RI would win, but it's just a hunch. Depends on how extreme RFayette is willing to go.

Sorry but you guys are delusional if you think a guy who voted for Hillary and voted Yang, as well as a guy who voted for Biden less than a month ago (and I think plans to in the general, though don't quote me on that) would win any states.

I'm not voting for Biden in the general election. I voted for him in the primary as I viewed him as the least bad remaining Dem.

Genuinely torn between John Dule ("Uncle Joe") and Dr. RI ("Bernie"). I probably agree with John Dule more politically but like Dr. RI better as a person.

If the primaries were Atlas-only John Dule would win. Dr. RI would probably win IRL.

My apologies. In that case, it might not matter a whole lot (Trump was a major Kerry 2004 stan iirc).

I could see myself under certain circumstances crossing over for RI in a Republican primary, but it'd have to be in a political environment in which gay rights and ideally also immigration were settled issues. RFayette would almost certainly win.

It would be a tough choice between Dr. RI and RFayette, two of the very best posters here.

Dr RI would probably win right now as I sense is is more pro-Trump than RFayette.

Dule would not win.  He would be viewed by many as an interloper.

Not really sure who I'd vote for. Probably Dule, but he'd lose pretty easily. RI is probably better than you'd normally get from a Republican but we still have a lot of disagreements. Rfayette isn't my type of Republican (to be fair that can be said for most Republicans) but I'm not so sure he'd win. He'd be perfect for a 2000s era GOP, yeah, and he'd get the donors, but I think RI would edge him out.

RI disarms the GOPE who are up in arms over his economics proposals by pulling one of their favorite lines: "Do you ever understand economics?".

I will be competitive in this election for however long I can make it before a reporter asks me about my religious beliefs.
