So, now that 2020 will almost certainly be Biden vs, Trump, who do we think might run (depending on the outcome) in 2024. I know more Ds than Rs, so I could use help there lol. I could see three outcomes of this election:

Trump Wins
D
“Establishment”
- Mayor Pete
- Kamala
- Cory Booker
- Gillibrand
- Amy Klobuchar
- Kennedy (although he might instead go for 28/32)
- Tammy Duckworth
- Gavin Newsom
- Gretchen Whitmer
- Stacey Abrams
- Jay Inslee
- Roy Cooper
- Steve Bullock
- Jared Polis
- Andrew Cuomo
- John Bel Edwards

”Progressives“
- AOC
- Rashida Tlaib
- Sherrod Brown
- Tammy Baldwin
- Ro Khanna
- Jeff Merkley
- Nina Turner
- Jesus Garcia
- Peter Welch
- Warren would also be here but she’s considered a bit of a traitor among progressives now lol.

- Andrew Yang doesn’t really fit in either lol
- Neither does Tulsi

R
- Mike Pence
- Rubio
- Ted Cruz
- Dan Crenshaw
- Don Jr
- Ivanka
- Nikki Haley
- Charlie Baker
- Tom Cotton
- Ron DeSantis
- Josh Hawley
- Chris Sununu
- Dan Bishop
- Rand Paul
- James Lankford
- Ron DeSantis
- Liz Cheney
- Mike Pompeo
- Will Herd
- Maybe someone in the Bush family dynasty (?) lol
- John Kasich
- Chris Christie
- Larry Hogan
- Brian Kemp
- Doug Ducey
- Mitt Romney (lmao)
- Rick Scott
- Kristi Noem
- Bill Lee
- Kris Kobach
- Matt Bevin
- Tucker Carlson
- Phil Scott
- Manny Sethi
- John James

Biden Wins, decides to run again

D
Maybe a D progressive challenge, but probably not much competition.
R
- Same candidates
- Given the ages, Trump himself could very much decided to run again lol

Biden Wins, does not/cannot run again

D
Whoever his VP is will have the advantage
R
Ditto

Really still too early to tell, but if Biden wins and looks beatable in 2024 then we should expect a lot of GOP hard hitters to come out (i.e., Cruz, Haley, Paul, Crenshaw, DeSantis, etc.)

An open Democratic primary in 2024/28 would probably be dominated by the 2018 freshman class (i.e., Newsom, Whitmer, Polis) as well as some 2020 retreads (i.e., Kamala, Buttigieg, Booker).

Gotta love how someone who isn't me is seriously proposing Dan Bishop as a presidential candidate. If he actually runs in 2024, and if he ever becomes President, I want to apologize in advance.
