Biden has the yuppie limousine liberal vote. He is going to get destroyed with WWC maybe even worse than Hillary.

He's literally doing better than Hillary with WWC voters by a ton?
Because theres no alternative. Bernie was a lot stronger in 2016.

Oh yeah because Macomb County is full of yuppie college kids.

And yet, voters are turning out with unprecidented enthusiasm to vote Joe.

There was no alternative for Hillary in 2016 other than Bernie. There is no alternative for Biden currently other than Bernie. Bernie won 2 of the first three states and basically tied in the remaining state. You consistently have the most biased, terrible takes on this forum that simply defies available data

I'm not even gonna sugar coat it. This feels awful. I've clearly gotten quite emotionally invested in this process and watching it all tumble over like 10 days really hurts. I'm still proud that I volunteered for the first time with Bernie's campaign and I'm gonna do all I can to move a progressive agenda in the future to come. For now though I think I kind of need a break from all this. I'll be back though, and hopefully my input to this community will be more insightful when I'm not as invested in it. I'll see you all soon!

Tulsi Gabbard could outlast Bernie Sanders. What timeline do we live in?

It's crazy how Bernie ran such an effective campaign against the elitist wing of the Democratic Party that was almost solely focused on social issues and a "we are better than the rest of them" approach. Only four years later, that seems to have become the feeling among someBernie supporters. The entitlement and superiority is astounding.

SN was literally attacking Sanders when he was the front runner. His opinions on the Democratic Primary are nothing more then hot air.

Biden seems to have brought a lot of white working class voters back on board while also expanding numbers with suburban voters. You can't extrapolate much from a primary, but if these numbers are any indication then Trump should be very concerned.

I know exactly how you are feeling. Its such a great feeling to be politically active in a campaign, feel like you are winning, and then have it pulled out from under you at the last minute. I've felt that. Its terrible. Be proud of volunteering and actually giving a damn when so many voters don't.

Sounds like it's time for Bernie to drop the "Democratic" part from his "Democratic Socialist" self-identification. Liberal democracy never was and never could be a path towards socialism.

Scandinavia says hi.

Scandinavian countries aren't socialist. They are mixed market economies like every other developed economy; they simply have had a more successful labor movement that effectively affected change in society and government policies (which have been slowly deconstructed by the interests of capital and their representatives over the past several decades).

So wait. You're advocating socialism greater extent than Scandinavian countries? As in full-on planned economies?

If you were voting for Bernie Sanders with the saying, that was foolish as hell. The best I think he's ever dreamt of would be to remake America's economy and social safety net to closely mirror that of Scandinavia and other Western European countries. So what is your point here?

Seriously, you should have been voting for some Splinter Marxist party, because of Scandinavia is apparently not socialist enough for you, the greens aren't Progressive enough for your vote.

Meanwhile on r/sandersforpresident, there's a conversation about whether 538 is biased because it's owned by big-money Disney, or if saying big media companies having biased reporting is problematic because it reinforces anti-semitic tropes (obviously knowing nothing about the history of Disney).

Which stage of grieving is this?

So does anybody have an idea of how many absentee ballots are out there and when they will be counted?

Honest question, and I'm not particularly versed in how MI counts their ballots, and then some comments earlier up-thread about their State Laws on this matter.

Bernie is ahead of Biden in Washtenaw County by only 15 votes.  That doesn't include absentees.

Bernie is DONE.

I'd caution against translating primary results into GE, just as well as with polling at this stage. If anything we've learned, by 2016 and this very primary, it's how fluid and quickly changing politics is, especially with such predictions.

Assuming that Biden is indeed more electable, this is still bound to be a very difficult, hard fight, so let's keep certain things in mind before getting overoptimistic.
