Alternative History time:

Bernie Sanders runs for President in 2008, does similarly to Biden/Edwards with the real race becoming Obama versus Hillary as in our timeline. Impressed with how he resonated with parts of the base, especially with the impending financial crash we all felt coming, and also being against the Iraq War, Obama takes a risk but selects Sanders as his 2008 running mate. Obama/Sanders win 2008 and 2012 by very similar margins. Hillary is still Secretary of State in the first term, Warren still heads the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Biden does serve in the cabinet for at least the first term.

1. How is the Obama presidency different?
2. How are the 2016 and 2020 elections different?
