NYT and Politico say almost all of Nashville is in, but overall vote totals are way lower than 2018. Is there a reporting error regarding how many precincts are in (maybe this is just the early or E-Day vote), or is there just way lower turnout than '18?

Just EV, no absentees or Eday.

That definitely took me by surprise. Wasn't he the preferred candidate of the state party?

Early vote looking great for Hagerty. Wonder if there's an early versus E-Day split

45% of the vote in and Mackler is still trailing Bradshaw by around 25,000 votes and Kimbrough by about 8,000.

Needless to say, I'm disappointed in these results.  I'm stunned to see Mackler losing on the Democratic side, though.

Hoping Sethi can at least hang on in Williamson County for personal reasons, though.

I know Mackler wouldn't have had a shot in the general, but how the hell did this happen?

Davidson and Wilson Counties both just flipped to Sethi.  It's really stark to see all of the Sethi counties in Middle Tennessee surrounded by Hagerty counties everywhere else.

Also Harshbarger seems to have won in the 1st. Another woman in an extremely safe GOP seat.

At least Republicans seem to be making some progress with increasing gender diversity in their caucus.

Yep. Three women nominated in safe open seats (IL-15, MI-10, now TN-01) and possibly FL-03 on the way, in addition to most of their candidates in top pickup opportunities (MN-07, OK-05, SC-01, NM-02, NY-11, NY-22, IA-01, IA-02).

Not to mention, several reach targets (AZ-01, CA-39, CA-48, FL-13, FL-27, GA-06, IL-06, IL-17, KS-03, NJ-11, NY-18, OH-13, PA-07, TX-32), a couple of competitive open seats (IN-05, TX-24), and some nut jobs (CO-03, GA-14). And a senate seat in Wyoming.

All they got last cycle was Carol Miller (and Blackburn in the Senate). The cycle before was just Tenney and Cheney, I think. 2014 was the last good year for GOP women in congress (Stefanik, Love, Walters, Comstock, McSally, Ernst, Capito).

Stefanik needs to put as much effort into recruiting in safe seats as in swing seats. Jessica Taylor, Renee Swann, Lynda Bennett all could have won their primaries with more investment.

2018 was really not a good year for House Republican women. 6 retired/ran for something else (McSally, Ros-Lehtinen, Jenkins, Noem, Black, Blackburn) and 5 lost (Walters, Handel, Tenney, Love, Comstock).
