I guess carpetbombing the airwaves and sending likely Democratic voters multiple pieces of campaign literature in the mail per day is turning out not to endear Bloomberg to as many voters as was hoped. Sad!

Well, can't fault you for trying. Unfortunately, Gillium and Abrams lost so you guys gotta start from square one. But the progressive movement needs to realize that often in America the true working class, the people behind the McDonalds register or mopping the floor, are African Americans and need to be recognized as African Americans.

The 538 model had Bernie winning Alabama at one point.

Virginia exit poll by race:

white:
Biden 43%
Sanders 26%
Warren 14%
Bloomberg 12%

black:
Biden 63%
Sanders 18%
Bloomberg 10%
Warren 7%

This will not be close. Wow.

So maybe Bernie wasn't as strong in NOVA as people here have been saying he'd be?

People were saying Bernie would be strong in NoVA?

I think this user is probably confusing posters who said Sanders would still do well in NoVA in a general election (which is true), not the primary. They made a bunch of apoplectic posts that Sanders could lose a substantial amount of ground to Trump there.

Virginia is the definition of the swamp. The fact they voted so heavily for Biden is disgusting.

In VA exit polls bizarrely Sanders beat Biden for those that feel that the next president should "Be more conservative than Obama's".  I guess it is GOP cross over vote that took Trump's advice to vote Sanders.

Let's hope this poll-closing call in VA is an omen that Bernie gets drubbed tonight.

Iirc those models assume that the composition of the race would not fundamentally change. Meaning it did not consider the withdrawal of Klob/Pete/Steyer and the sudden stream of coordinated endorsements.

Veeeeeery early returns, but Bloomberg is underperforming substantially so far in VA. Excellent news for Biden.

Virginia is among the most pro-establishment states in the union. The idea that Bernie getting blown out there means anything is just a joke.

There's no way Biden is doing as well elsewhere, particularly outside the South.

tfw american socialists tend to hyperfocus on socialist efforts in states like NY, WA, and CA but wonder why our candidates get blown out by campaigns like Biden's in states like Virginia
