Looks like Trump nominated a bi-partisan cabinet.

Since the Democrats emerged with a 51-49 Senate majority, I don't believe Heitkamp would accept the Agriculture Department. North Dakota has a Republican Governor and he would very likely appoint a Republican to her seat resulting in a 50-50 tie and the Republicans controlling the Senate (and controlling all committees).

I'll change it to Kip Tom, and the reason why she was appointed was because she had experience and he needed to have someone who could pass the Senate. Kip Tom is the Ambassador to UN Food and Agriculture.
The other Democrats are,

Gabbard, she wanted to be in the Trump Administration.
Ford Jr., People were speculating on that after Trump won
Rhee, Trump considered her.

Jim Justice was elected as a Democrat so he could run for Senate, appoint Natalie Tennent, who is Secretary of State of West Virginia still because she narrowly lost in 2016, Appoint a placeholder, Carte Goodwin for someone to run.

Evan
March 22nd, 2017

As he was watching the Hawaii Special election on CNN to replace Tulsi Gabbard, he expected to see his old colleague, Ed Case to return to congress, but he was shocked when a former Republican, Beth Fukumoto won the primary, and he wondered about the future of the Democratic Party. He already knew that Indiana wasn't winnable and expected Joe (Donnelly) to lose his re-election, and wondered about his political future. Perhaps, he could run for some state position, like State Senate or House, run for the House, run for Governor or Attorney General, where he'll lose, or be retired and be out of the public spotlight until his sons run for office.

Hawaii Results for 2nd District

UMOTO 37%
CASE 31%

Missouri, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania flip, with the latter 2 being expected and Missouri being the "upset".
