I was thinking today about how my 18-year old self would react if he was asked "How would you like it if when you were 36 you regularly wore Sunny Day Real Estate and Cap'n Jazz shirts, lived in a trendy part of Minneapolis a block away from a record store, worked a job that paid above the average national income, regularly went to shows and drank a lot at cool indie music venues, and was active working in progressive causes?" and he would've jumped up and down screaming "YES YES YES F[INKS] YES!" and would've been so stoked.

So yeah I did it. Yay.

I think it is time to make new life goals my dude.

Goal 1: Become the first person to reach 100,000 posts on the US Election Atlas forum.

He should get there within a few years.

Fishing on a pacific island with your son.

Skiing holiday in Japan

Driving holiday on the west coast of Norway.

Time to re-assess your short term goals.

So, you're essentially a petite bourgeoise masquerading as a hipster.

You’re way too materialistic to pretend to be a hipster.

Good for you, BRTD. I mean that sincerely. Having said that, though, I agree with the other posters in this thread that now is the time to set new goals for the next stage of your life.

How can you say you've reached self-actualization when you haven't even hit 100,000 posts yet?
