Bloomberg now paying people to promote his campaign on 4Chan

Hear me out. It may sound far-fetched, but remember that this is the person who is literally paying content creators to post memes about him in order to artificially inflate his popularity. At some point, Ol' Bloomer must've heard that these things called "memes" helped Donald Trump win the presidency, so being the hip, media-savvy guy he is, he decided to funnel a few thousand bucks here and there into meme creation. He is paying Instagram "influencers" to post about him and he even hired the promoters for the disgraced "Fyre Festival" to run his meme team.

Given that Bloomberg has already demonstrated a propensity to use manufactured content like this to gaslight voters into thinking that he has edgy, youthful supporters, it's not too far-fetched to think that he would start to put his money into the corners of the internet that first spawned Trump's meme magic. Perhaps this is an attempt to replicate Trump's rise, or maybe it's just designed to irritate Trump's internet supporters. Either way, it's happening.

So tonight, my girlfriend tells me that the /pol/ board has been flooded with pro-Bloomberg messages. I don't use 4Chan much so I hadn't seen this; a quick check of the front page proved her right. Here are some choice examples straight from the darkest cesspools of online degeneracy:

Clearly nobody who uses the site for recreational purposes is being sold on this, but I think this presents other candidates with an opportunity. Will Bloomberg denounce his support from alt-right trolls and online racists?!?! After all, Yang, Sanders, Gabbard, and Trump have all gotten dragged through the mud at various intervals because some anonymous person on 4Chan decided they liked them. A recent SNL skit even called out Sanders for his "army of online trolls" and for supposedly being popular on the infamous site. Will we be seeing the usual crew of #ModerateHeroes wringing their hands and clutching their pearls over Bloomberg's ties to this wretched site that has disqualified so many other candidates in their eyes?
