The Iowa Democratic chair stepped down but to me he is a scapegoat for the DNC. Perez has been an ineffective chairman. The party is far from united and it's clear Iowa is just a scapegoat for their failure as a party to have any kind of message that will resonate

If IA goes R and, the Sunbelt is turning D anyways. Perez is doing a decent job, only in a Debbie Wasserman Schultz scenario will he resign

Under Perez's leadership the Democrats gained 41 House seats and improved by nearly 10% in the congressional popular vote, while winning 8 Senate races in states Trump won in 2016. At the very least he hasn't been a negative for the party. So let's give him a shot, see how 2020 turns out, and then evaluate after the election.
