Just witnessed Ji-man Choi flip around to hit right-handed in the middle of an at-bat, ultimate mind game

Going to be wild to get a feel for the MVP and Cy Young frontrunners in a couple weeks...Keep is up, Sir Didi, my heart belongs to you alone.
If ever a year for a reliever to win, this one — with each starter getting a dozen appearances, some of them shortened — is the one. Nick Anderson Cy Young!

Up 5-3 in the top of the 7th (new 9th), runner on second, the tying run at the plate is Aaron Judge — bring in Anderson, he gets the K and the W. As many people are now saying:

Yankees tried to pull a gimmick with their #4 starter to get favorable match-ups. Appreciate the effort to fake it while a serious underdog against a stud throwing gas. Not a bad time to take the L. Kevin Cash is an elite manager who manages the game the way I wish we would manage it. A+ effort to seal it.
Very weird to watch the Yankees play around with their pitchers while the Rays hit a bunch of home runs. Something's off about that!

The Rays may be the third team this century without a Hall of Famer to win a title after just 1 (maybe 2) last century. (Blake Snell has an ok shot, hard to say so early with pitchers. Angels had Lackey and K-Rod and you just can't count on it. Glasnow will need to be a very late bloomer.) To do so, they will need to beat a third superteam with at least 4-5 likely Hall of Famers. Can't say they wouldn't have earned it!
If you want to make an argument on a technicality (and make a very, very long-term bet), Wander Franco is in the 40-man player pool they submitted for the playoffs, even though he probably won't play. Hasn't played above Class A, but if you're picking a future Hall of Famer off this roster...

Walkoff 2-strike 2-run 2-error single by a bench guy who didn't play in the NLCS. NEVER IN DOUBT GO RAYS

Snell can do whatever he wants to Cash tonight and there's not a juror in the city that would convict him.

Did everyone hear that Justin Turner tested positive for COVID-19 and that's why he was taken out of the game? That's going to be a big story tomorrow on ESPN & FS1's talking head shows.
DEEPLY DISTURBING. Game must be replayed!
