Texas Gov. George W. Bush and Vice President Al Gore picks two Missourians to see who can win Missouri's electoral votes.

Former Sen. John Danforth and Missouri congressman and House Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt.

Gore easily wins St. Louis City. Bush however should win several rural counties. Bush also wins Utah and Wyoming, while Gore should hold onto New York and Washington DC.

Probably something like this:

Gore/Gephardt: 314
Bush/Danforth: 224

With both campaigns closely contesting MO, Gore probably doesn’t take his home state for granted since it’s right next door and campaigns around that region much more. I gave FL to him as well because I figured panhandle Dixiecrats would prefer him over the liberal Jewish senator from CT.
