I tend to think not, but maybe.

I don't believe she's got what it takes to do the hard work of learning what it takes to actually BE President, but she may surprise me.

I mean, she could wait all the way til 2068 and still be younger than Bernie Sanders will be on Election Day this year, so it seems pretty ridiculous to say never.

Probably not. The Rust Belt isn't a fan of her proposals.

Of course not. Only highly moral and esteemed individuals with integrity like Donald Trump can get elected in this country.

While being an attractive and charismatic young minority woman, she's waaaaaay too far left. She would have to change a lot. She'd have to learn strategy a lot better and move to the right. There are also a lot of skeletons in her closet in regards to running a shady campaign, breaking campaign finance laws, funneling money through her campaign to her boyfriend, etc. When she tries to run on an anti-corruption message, that kind of stuff will come back to haunt her. I don't see liberals turning out to vote for AOC.

Good point. There's nothing more moderate than Donald Trump who ran on building a wall and shooting Muslim terrorists with bullets covered in pigs blood. AOC will surely lose by going too far left.

As we all know....only the left is punished with going too far left and never the right.

Killing Terrorists is not lol a far-right position, literally every candidate on both sides of the aisle is in support of that policy.  Trump as usual used hyperbole on the issue but his position wasnt far right

AOC is more if Louie Gohmert was the GOP nominee

One step at a time. She'll start by kicking Schumer's ass.

Assuming she's not primaried successfully this year.

She IS a good bet to challenge Schumer.  NY is set to lose Congressional districts, and NYC voters will often select a more low-key incumbent that is district-oriented over someone like AOC who dominates the airwaves, but who (I would suspect) is not strong on the casework aspect of being a Representative.

She can contest 12-13 elections before she reaches Bernie Sanders age, so very possible.

But is the USA moving left or right over time?

She can and she very well may. We can laugh at the communists and make fun of their silly ideas all day, but we can't afford to underestimate them or their popularity.

Once the boomers cease to be a significant portion of the electorate, absolutely.

She could if she decides to run while the country is in a populist/anti-establishment political climate.

I know, right? You stop treating the Russians as a threat for a decade or so, and next thing you know you turn around and they own the Republicans party.

No, she is the Debbie Wasserman Schultz of the Dem party. Just like Beto was soundly defeated in 2020, she would do about the same, due to right wing media

Not right now, but in the future, yes.  When the Millennials dominate politics, she's got a real chance.

As others have said, Schumer is her next target in NY. If she can win a statewide primary against him, watch out.
