Local state prosecutor elections in California are nonpartisan. The OCDA runoff in California was R vs. R. The primary and runoff vote didn稚 fall along party lines. The top Democrat didn稚 even come close to advancing, finishing 3rd, even in the most Democratic districts. Would a partisan election have been different?

Runoff results by House district: Todd Spitzer (R): 53.2%, Tony Rackauckas (R): 46.8%

Rackauckas only won his home district, CA-48, which has the most Republican PVI. Democrat Brett Murdock, who finished 3rd in the primary, endorsed Spitzer. Does this likely mean Spitzer won the Democratic vote in the runoff?

Notably, Rackauckas (R-Newport Beach) won only his home House District, CA-48, which is the most Republican in OC. Spitzer (R-Fullerton), who is from CA-39, won CA-46, the most Democratic OC House district. Is it likely that Spitzer won the Democratic vote?
