Mike Pence @presidentpence

I am aware that discussing policies with this conspiracy theorist is pointless, however I am going to say this to the people: the taxes of the poor are almost impossible to be significantly cut for a simple reason: most of them don't pay income taxes, and cutting the payroll tax would place Medicare and Social Security in grave danger. As such, my Administration is looking for other ways to help them, such as the recent childcare reform, the proposal on healthcare and measures to boost the economy in order to take them out of poverty. However, cutting taxes for the middle class is possible and beneficial to the entire economy as they are the most likely to spend that money.

Mike Pence @presidentpence

Stacey Abrams or as I call her "Nowhere-to-be-found" continues to dodge the opioid issue. Marriage has nothing to do with it, Stacey! Everyone, everyone except you apparently, knows that working with a person on a issue on which you have common ground with despite having disagreements on something else is the norm in politics! Also, related to this lady's State House term, she is taking credit for things done by the GAGOP while ignoring her real legacy: walking out instead of voting for a bill to crack down on human trafficking (which would have protected 354 Georgian children every month from being sold as sex slaves). She voted to allow predators to work near schools and childcare facilities and to allow them to take pictures of Georgian kids without their parents' consent! Not surprised that you're not taking credit for that!

Bullock Tweet on RFRA
Quote
I'm proud to join Miss Abrams by requesting that President Pence acknowledge the legitimacy and rights of the LGBTQ+ community. It is past time that the rights of ALL Americans are respected by those in charge, and President Pence's past conduct on this issue is nothing short of shameful. I hope the President is willing to correct previous wrongs and join us in helping to create a tolerant, inclusive nation.

Mike Pence @presidentpence

It's just hillarious how this Dems treat RFRA like it's a bad thing. Lies! What the RFRA did was allow people to run their businesses in a way fitting with their values, not on how the government is dictating them to. This right is the backbone of our democracy and liberty! Maybe people wouldn't feel so opressed by DC if RFRAs were more common!!!

Tom Steyer Ad: Reject Mike Pence

Broadcasted in all major markets and in ALL Markets in Iowa and New Hampshire

Work Train on Tennessee Pass by James Belmont, on Flickr

Narrator: Americans deserve stable, compassionate, and measured leadership. They deserve leaders that seek results for them, and serve the people.

Narrator: Mike Pence doesn't think so. In Congress he's put his radical agenda before Americans, and now as President he acts irrationally and dangerously.

Narrator: In Congress he tried to redefine rape, claimed smoking doesn't kill, and when running for Congress, used political donations for personal purposes. Even golf fees.

Narrator: As Governor the Mike Pence disaster continued. Job Growth slowed, public records were covered up, and Mike spent his time pushing a radical anti-LGBT agenda or taking 90,000 Dollars from corporate special interest groups (Cha Ching effect), 234,000 Dollars from Big Oil (Cha Ching effect), 135,000 Dollars from Big Pharma (Cha Ching effect), over 400,000 Dollars from Big Banks (Cha Ching), and so much more.

Mike Pence: dangerous, radical, corrupt. Not right for America.

(Steyer Voice) I'm Tom Steyer, and I approve this message because I believe I can beat Mike Pence and restore dignity to Washington.

Mike Pence @presidentpence

The corrupt, rich plutocrat named Tom Steyer or the Dem Koch is daring to accuse me of corruption while buying elections and threatening members of Congress! I have done nothing wrong, notice how he is taking on issues of the distant past because my Presidential tenure was so clean and just that even he can't invent anything to attack it! I hope he gets nominated so he loses to me in a LANDSLIDE!

ABRAMS GETS NEW ENDORSEMENT
Image from Flickr
Local South Carolina newspaper, the Post and Courier endorsed former Georgia House Minority leader Stacey Abrams for President.

Quote
We're happy to announce that the Post and Courier is endorsing Stacey Abrams for President of the United States. Her focus on election security, income inequality, infrastructure, race relations, and electability shows that she has views that all Americans can get behind. Her record of bipartisanship and unity will give America the re-do we all desperately need. The rancor of the Pence administration feels like an endless nightmare we all want to wake up from. Her wide range of supporters from former President Jimmy Carter, to Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus Karen Bass, to Congressman and Civil Rights icon John Lewis, Ms. Abrams has a unifying message that can win in November. With her at the top of the ticket, the Democrats have a great shot of taking the White House, winning the Senate, and holding the House. Stacey Abrams is a winning candidate.

Pence Administration presents new tax reform proposal

Mike Pence: "This revolutionary proposal is going to massively boost prosperity for the lower and middle class Americans, as well as create a lot of new jobs and help our economy further expand into the 2020s. I call on Congress to adopt this as quickly as possible in a bipartisan manner, and my Administration will carefully watch for any attempts of threatening or intimidating Representatives and show them to the public. I hope my opponents can allow the Representatives of the people to decide in an objective manner whether this helps their constituents or not."

The proposal contains the following items:

- Reduce the number of tax brackets from 7 to 3, as follows:

Married-joint filers:
Less than 75.000: 12%
75.000-225.000: 25%
Over 225.000: 33%
The brackets for single filers are half of these amounts.

This policies, combined with the childcare tax credits passed by Congress last month, will reduce taxes for low and middle-class Americans by anywhere between 25 and 40%, depending on the particularities of every family/person. The wealthy might see a very slight decrease in income taxes, however this will be offset by eliminating deductions and loopholes, as detailed below.

- The Capital Gains tax will be retained in its current structure, with a maximum rate of 20%, however the Wall Street carried interest loophole will be closed.

- The 3.8% Obamacare tax and the Alternative Minimum Tax will be repealed

- Deductions will be capped at 200.000 for Married-Joint filers or 100.000 for Single filers

- The standard deduction will be increased to 30.000 from 12.600 for Married-Joint filers and to 15.000 for Single filers. The personal exemptions as well as the head-of-household filing status will be eliminated.

- The death tax will be repealed, however capital gains held until death and worth over 10 million will be subject to a similar tax. To prevent abuse, contributions of appreciated assets into a private charity established by the decedent or the decedent’s relatives will be disallowed.

- The business tax rate will be lowered from 21% to 15%, and the corporate AMT will be eliminated too. The 15% rate, however, will only be available to businesses that wish to keep their profits within that business. The plan will also eliminate all corporate tax expenditures except for the Research and Development credit.

- Firms engaged in manufacturing in the US may elect to expense capital investment and lose the deductibility of corporate interest expense. An election once made can only be revoked within the first 3 years of election; if revoked, returns for prior years would need to be amended to show revised status. After 3 years, election is irrevocable.

The Pence campaign wants to make this bill a main theme as the campaign moves closer and closer to Iowa. President Mike Pence also seemed eager to explain the reasoning behind every item of the bill, which was carefully thought by WH experts for months.

Mike Pence @presidentpence

So cute seeing the SWAMP getting together because they're scared to death by my achievements and new initiatives which will drain it out of existence! Now Swampist Moulton got out of the race, to back the puppeteer. Expect more drop-outs soon, they're all going to get out to back him.

Mike Pence @presidentpence

Most of them ran to boost their national profile, however the swamp is so unpopular that Dem Koch can't win even with in-name-only competition and tons of money to buy the election! Laughable! I am winning in a landslide in all polls, both primaries and general!

A lot of organisations endorsed President Pence this week, including the American Legion, the American Farm Bureau Federation, the Family Research Council and the Heritage Foundation. The Pence 2020 campaign plans to tout their endorsements in rallies as well as use their resources to boost credentials and GOTV efforts. Especially the AFBF endorsement is welcomed, as they think it will help across the Plains, an area the Administration is worried about due to the farmers suffering from Trump's trade war. The FRC endorsement is thought to also help in the South, where Jones seems to gain steam despite Pence having a lot of endorsements from officials there.

OPRAH ENDORSES ABRAMS

Television personality and former talk-show host Oprah Winfrey endorsed Stacey Abrams for President in Columbia, South Carolina today. Ms. Abrams began the rally with some remarks about Ms. Winfrey

Quote
I remember, as a young girl, first seeing Oprah's talk show. I had never seen such a strong, intelligent, independent African American woman on television. Most people remember Oprah's show as a show just about giving away free cars and presents, but it was more than that. She opened people's eyes to what others think about different issues. Her show brought people together. That's what this campaign is about: bringing people together. Please help me welcome Ms. Oprah Winfrey to the stage!

Ms. Winfrey then gave her remarks about Ms. Abrams

Quote
It was not that long ago when I endorsed a young African American guy with a funny name from Chicago. I said in my speech endorsing him, right here in Columbia, that he would deliver the dream that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamt of. That was just the hill, we must go to the mountaintop! There's a quote from Dr. King that keeps coming back to me seeing what we've got in the White House right now, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." We need to draw out the darkness, the hatred, the division of the politics of the President right now. Right before I went out here, I talked with Gayle and she told me that I'm gonna get a hate tweet from the man in the White House. I'm ready, because as Dr. King said, we're gonna draw hate out with love.

Stacey is the perfect candidate for this day and age of our country. She has the experience, but without the stench of Washington. She has the heart and soul of a caretaker. She gets work done. She's an optimist. That's what we need right now, a caretaker, a workhorse, and an optimist. Stacey will win. We want a new era, Stacey will bring that. As President Obama once said, "Don't boo, vote!" Now, is our test. We've gotta vote. That's the only way to bring a new era to our country.

Tom Steyer Tweet

Transcript: Seth Moulton is a true public servant. I'm honored to receive his support. Our campaign is a broad coalition that will defeat Mike Pence.

Tom Steyer Winter Strategy and December Schedule

The Tom Steyer campaign believes this campaign can peak big-time in the Winter Months, and barrel through the first four states, perhaps wining three if not all of them. The endorsement from Congressman Seth Moulton, who had already built a formidable campaign is a massive turning point. With the new support of Senator Elizabeth Warren and both of New Hampshire's representatives, New Hampshire appears a lock for the Steyer campaign, a state where he already led. Going into the primary season, Tom plans to up the ground game with a far more intensive schedule. Paired with an aggressive ad campaign, Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada could all be won by Tom. With New Hampshire entering a landslide range. Tom will not engage in any negative campaigning, only contrasting himself to the others as a Washington outsider and change-maker. Surrogates will focus campaigning on region appropriate areas such as Michael Bennet and Dina Titus in Nevada, Elizabeth Warren and Seth Moulton in New Hampshire, and so on. In terms of issues, the campaign focuses on corruption, climate change, real progressive tax reform, and getting stuff done. Also getting the idea settled in voters minds of a President Steyer.

Mike Pence @presidentpence

New - and failed - strategy from Dem Koch coming out today. "Getting stuff done"? Sad the Dems might actually eat that up!
