Election Results 2020
with your hosts, Wolf Blitzer and John King

Blitzer: Good evening. I'm Wolf Blitzer.

King: And I'm John King. And we're here to bring you the results of the Puerto Rico Democratic primary.

Blitzer: Indeed we are, John. We are now getting in the first results from the territory, and here they are.

Blitzer: Senator Gillibrand seemingly the favorite coming into tonight, and leading by some six points over Ms. Abrams. Mr. Steyer, meanwhile, in third again, but, unlike in Georgia, above the 15% threshold required to get delegates.

King: Indeed, Wolf, and of course Steyer only spent a single day in Puerto Rico in recent memory, focusing far more heavily on the Midwestern primaries of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, where he hopes large delegate hauls will allow him to play queenmaker at the convention.

Blitzer: Definitely something to watch to see how it plays out as the night rages on. We will be back with more results after the break.

Blitzer: Good evening. I'm Wolf Blitzer.

Blitzer: Indeed we are, John. We are now getting in the final results from the territory, which we have projected will go for Senator Gillibrand.

Blitzer: Senator Gillibrand winning Puerto Rico by some eighteen points over Ms. Abrams. Mr. Steyer, meanwhile, in third again, but, unlike in Georgia, above the 15% threshold required to get delegates.

Speaking of which, here are the running delegate totals:

Blitzer: A close race for the nomination continuing into April. Thank you so much for tuning in; we will see you next week for our coverage of the April 4 primaries and caucuses: Wyoming, Louisiana, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Running Democratic delegate total (in case of emergency):

PHASE III, TURN X: NO MAN'S APRIL FOOLS

With Puerto Rico a sizable victory for Senator Gillibrand, her campaign has been flushed with new life following her round defeat in Georgia. Such is the position she finds herself in facing four more races: Hawaii, Alaska, Wyoming, and Louisiana. Many view Louisiana as solid Abrams country, the other races are anyone's game, as their smaller Democratic electorates (particularly in Alaska and Wyoming) could make them volatile in the battle for delegates. Only time will tell if that comes to pass.

Current Polling (30-31 March 2020)

Democrats
Stacey Abrams - 41%
Kirsten Gillibrand - 36%
Tom Steyer - 21%
Undecided - 2%

Republicans
Mike Pence - 90%

Other/Undecided - 10%

Libertarians
Austin Petersen - 94%
Other/Undecided - 6%

Schedules for March 30th through April 4th will be due April 12. There will be no debate this turn.

Election Results 2020
with your hosts, Wolf Blitzer and John King

Blitzer: Good evening. I'm Wolf Blitzer.

King: And I'm John King. And we're here to bring you the results of the Northern Mariana Islands Democratic caucuses, and, later on, the results from Alaska, Hawaii, Wyoming, and Louisiana.

Blitzer: Indeed we are, John. We are now getting in the first results from the territory, and here they are.

Blitzer: Senator Gillibrand seemingly the favorite coming into tonight, and leading by some nine points over Ms. Abrams. Mr. Steyer, meanwhile, in third again, with a dismal 9%, well below the threshold required to get delegates.

King: Indeed, Wolf, and of course neither Steyer nor Abrams spent any time there in recent memory, but Abrams has her perceived frontrunner status to bolster her.

Blitzer: Definitely something to watch to see how it plays out as the night rages on. We will be back with more results after the break.

King: Indeed, Wolf, and of course neither Steyer nor Abrams spent any time there in recent memory, but Abrams had her perceived frontrunner status to bolster her; not quite enough to bring this territory into the fold, however, which raises the question of how she'll do in Hawaii later on.

Blitzer: Ms. Abrams winning early in Louisiana while Gillibrand takes the Northern Marianas and leads currently in Wyoming.

Blitzer: Indeed we are, John. We are now getting in more results from Louisiana and Wyoming.

Blitzer: Senator Gillibrand continuing to do well in Wyoming while Ms. Abrams continues to grow her massive lead in Louisiana.

King: Indeed, Wolf, and it's interesting how well Steyer is performing in Wyoming, reminiscent of his victory in Oklahoma last month, although he's not going to win tonight.

Blitzer: Definitely something to watch to see how it plays out as the night rages on. We will be back with more results after the break.

Blitzer: Good evening. I'm Wolf Blitzer.

King: And I'm John King. And we're here to bring you the results of the Northern Mariana Islands Democratic caucuses, and, later on, the results from Alaska, Hawaii, Wyoming, and Louisiana.

Blitzer: Indeed we are, John. We are now getting in the final results from Louisiana and Wyoming, as well as the first results from Hawaii.

Blitzer: Senator Gillibrand currently leading in Hawaii, but it is close.

King: Indeed, Wolf, and it'll interesting how well Steyer performs in Hawaii, given his standout performance in Wyoming just now.

Blitzer: Definitely something to watch to see how it plays out as the night rages on. We will be back with more results after the break.
