Hi, I'm Tom Steyer, businessman and proud Democrat. I like you have watched the criminality and the rank corruption of this administration unfold. As a concerned citizen, I've tried what I can to stop it from outside Washington. But the current political system is rotten to its core, it's been viciously corrupted by lobbyists, special interests, and career politicians. That's why I'm running for President.

It's gonna take a leader not beholden to special interests to get this done. That's why I'm not taking a dime in corporate, PAC, or fossil fuel contributions. This is my campaign, and yours. That's the only people who I'll be accepting support from.

I supported impeaching the President for his abuse of power and corruption before it was popular. I supported drastic action to fight climate change before it was popular, and was an unapologetic progressive before it was popular. That's because I wasn't tied up in the Washington machine, and because I wasn't beholden to the special interests. As President, I'll make the bold decisions and changes done and end Washington's failure and gridlock. That's why I'm asking for your support, to take our democracy back.

Citizens United is an insanely unpopular decision, opposed by even 70% of Republicans. I doubt the establishment will be able to do much (especially as, even with the Citizens United thing, Pence is their best choice)

Republican voters won’t care

But congresspeople who need the money will
As will the donors who provide it

And conservatives in Congress who support it on principle

@RGM, just so you’re aware;

Ads will be limited to one per player per week to prevent overload until there are fewer than 10 candidates.

Though I do believe there should be exceptions for candidates with the ability to self finance (Steyer, Ivanka) and perhaps the President, like an additional one or two ads.

Not really, I also nominated Republican Senators. And Jones is done in 2020 anyway.

Yes. But the Republican seats are pretty much safe, and eliminating Murkowski changes the dynamic a lot as well (not to mention the Manchin issue). These appointments will result in a 55-45 Senate and it's a pretty blatant partisan move imo.

I am cancelling the Manchin and Jones appointments and nominate some former Dem Senators. I was not aware of all of this stuff, I am not an American and my knowledge of the law there is limited... Also calling for reprercusions is very extreme and very personally offensive to me
