Well, I actually was a John Edwards supporter (you know, before he got all phony in 2007) who was bored out of his mind by John Kerry. 

You should be happy people like me existed in 2004 to set this country straight.  Bush defeating Kerry was part of a long-term strategy only independent voters could think of:  Dubya and Iron John were both horrible candidates.  Bush, unlike Kerry, couldn't run for re-election in 2008.  Thus, we could wipe them both out and start clean with much better candidates like Obama, Clinton, and McCain by casting our ballots for W.
