Surely in any election where TX and FL go blue, Democrats are winning the popular vote by millions. As of right now, the electoral college gives an immense advantage to Republicans, so of course they will support it. Likewise, Democrats would benefit tremendously from the abolishment of the electoral college, so they obviously support it as well. The difference is Democrats aren't the ones arguing that someone's vote be worth multitudes more than another just because of geography, or that winning a state by a thousand votes should count as much as winning by a million. Although there isn't really a point to the discussion since the electoral college is here to stay, and no one will change their minds. I don't think NPVIC will ever get enough states. If a national popular vote did ever happen, then there would probably have to be run by the federal government due to logistics, though.
