Currently under construction, the purpose of this thread will be to gather info on all the US-based election games this forum has seen so far (and there's a lot of them).

For the time being, here's a general idea of what games have we seen through the years:

US Presidential Elections:

Old Elections:

1788-1820: As far as I know, never roleplayed.
1824-1832: Covered by Spamage's Chain of Elections
1836-1944: As far as I know, never roleplayed.

Modern Elections:

1948: Unfinished game shortly ago.
1952-1964: Not roleplayed.
1968: Unifinished attempt.
1972: A couple of short-lived games in the past, then Fear and Loathing (which stopped short of the GE)
1976: Not roleplayed.
1980: Unfinished attempt.
1984-1988: Not roleplayed.
1992: Roleplayed a couple of times. Scott's excellent The 92' Vote almost got to the GE.
1996: Not roleplayed.

Recent Elections:

2000: Roleplayed a few times, NHI's 2000 Election Game was successfully finished (Quayle defeats Daschle).
2004: Roleplayed a few times, with NHI's 2004 Presidential Election and Beyond successfully finishing with a Giuliani victory and continuing on to 2008.
2008: Extensively roleplayed through the years. To my knowledge the sole one to finish was Spamage's epic 2008 Election Game (my first game), in which Bloomberg defeated McCain and Dean.
2012: Extensively roleplayed through the years. Noteworthy mention to Tmthforu94's version some years ago, in which Ayotte/Christie defeated Obama/Clinton.
2016: Extensively roleplayed through the years.
2020: Extensively roleplayed, DatGOTTho's remarkable The Great 2020 Free-For-All completed the GE, Sherrod Brown defeating Phil Scott.

The Daschle v. Quayle 2000 Election game didn't have NHI as GM... I should know, I was Daschle.

2020 Game completed. Brown/Sink defeated Scott/Rubio in a razor-thin race.

Congratulations! The 2020 game will be added to the Index. I haven't had time to do the research to update it, but if anyone wants one added just let me know or post here.

That 2020 game, so awesome. So so awesome.

Had a great time, and wrote awesome Phil campaign material.

Rereading some of them, I hear his voice.

The 2020 game is definitely the best since I was invited to Atlas by jacksonhitchcock for Lumine’s 2012 game (also a really good game, but in retrospect, I have no idea how I got so far). I hope this new 2020 game lives up to it, with more active players than the previous.

Yeah, I hope so, too.
