Great result for Bernie. Also very nice for progressives to have Warren 2nd (maybe she is not quite dead yet). Biden 4th is really bad for him, and if Buttigieg can't win IA, he is not going to win anywhere.

MissScarlett will be sad, I guess Klobuchar is done. No Klobmentum.

Not really concerned to be honest because all her vote is in rural counties. You need 15% in a precinct to qualify or your votes get scattered and not every candidate is going to break the threshold. It will be scattered but hey she was the first democrat I'd ever vote for so maybe thats her problem. If the democrats want to continue the division then fine!

Pete has spent 25m to finish 3rd is bad. Look democrats have a choice vote for a moderate that gets stuff done or you get Trump. Really simple.

Whats sad is the democratic party would reject Kirsten Sinema, Elissa Slotkin, Sherrod Brown so the fool is the party electorate. Socialism will never be allowed in America and you kids can sit on twitter all day long. You will never get medicare for all and you will never get free college. NEVER

Are you okay?

I'm telling you the truth because I'm an adult. The people who are older than 40 that would never vote for a Socialist?

I just vote for Trump. Really simple.

Yeah, this is it. They were almost spot on at this point in 2008 and 2016. Bernie's gonna win Iowa.

Percentage of support for candidates whose mind is made up

Sanders 59%
Warren 48%
Biden 44%
Buttigieg 40%

These numbers don't surprise me at all. I thought that Sanders was underestimated in IA due to the hardness of his supporter base relative to the other candidates.

----

Anyway, good poll for Sanders and Warren (maybe her campaign still has some life?), but horrendous for Biden and especially Buttigieg. Getting that kind of result in IA when he's been banking on it for so long should stop his campaign dead in its tracks.

Sanders now leading Biden in 538’s Iowa polling average by 0.7%, though Biden is still seen as the most likely winner at 34% (with 27% of the vote) compared to Sanders’ 26% (with 23% of the vote).

November: 30 Yes          62 No        7 No First Choice
January: 40 Yes             45 No        13 No First Choice

sanders is having the best possibly timed surge

Surge? He got 20% in a poll in a poll where only 40% is committed.

http://cdn.cnn.com/cnn/2020/images/01/10/rel1_ia.-.democrats.pdf

Yangs numbers have gone through the roof

Biden 62-33
Sanders 66-29
Warren 70-24
Pete 68-24
Yang 61-25
Klobuchar 53-25

Somewhat unexpected. I figured that Sanders would be leading, but I'm surprised at Warren being in second instead of Buttigieg or Biden.

There's a month left. With a month left, Howard Dean and Newt Gingrich were leading.

DMR's 2016 Democratic poll a month out: Clinton+2. Actual result: Clinton+1. DMR's 2008 Democratic poll shortly before the caucus: Obama+3. Actual result: Obama+8.

DMR's 2016 Republican poll a month out: Cruz+3. Actual result: Cruz+3. DMR's 2008 Republican poll a month out: Huckabee+5. Actual result: Huckabee+9.

Pretty spot on, I'd say.

They won't get anything close to the comfortable middle class lifestyle their parents had and they'll still be underpaid, in debt and angry, so no they won't. Many of them also won't have enough money to start a family.
