I also think James will win, but my heart is rooting for Ken.  I've always liked him.

Ken (normal) / Brad (should be normal)

It's baffling why the betting lines have Brad as the least likely champion. James's whole MO is being bold with big bets (not knocking it - I love the strategy), but I think he would probably have to get lucky for it to actually beat Ken and Brad 3 times. Will be interesting to see if Brad and Ken try to play a James-esque game to stick to what made them great in the first place.

I'm fully supportive of betting big and hunting Daily Doubles, but I do have issues with the extreme and cynical manner in which James navigates the board. Moving down the board within the same category, as is custom, is for the benefit of the viewers, who are the reason the show is still on the air and can provide players with their prize money. Clearly, the consequences of James breaking the game and his financial success brought a lot of eyeballs to Jeopardy, but sustained assaults on the game by other contestants could lead to long-term damage. It's very unsporting behavior.

I would guess in order of game

James
Brad
Brad
Ken

Ken seems like the most fun, so him.

Rush Holt!

I wish them all the best. I'm not really sure who I'm actually rooting for.

That was a terrific first match.  I was worried that Ken and Brad might not be a match for James's buzzer speed, but that clearly wasn't the case.

Jennings, although I have a soft spot for Rutter. I don't wanna see Holzhauer win, however. He was/is cool and funny to watch, but he pretty much just broke the game.

This is the only game James had done where he did not have the highest Coryat score between him and his opponents

Nope if either Ken or James win the next two matches then the tournament will end Friday (since their airing an episode Thursday and Friday)

I don't think there's an episode this Friday.

Yah you are right because the original article(back in November) said it would be on this Friday but I think they changed it up so next week not this week would be the one which has maybe 4 episodes

It's a hit so far:

Quote
The first night of ABC’s “Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time” tournament delivered the network’s largest primetime audience of the 2019-20 TV season, as the one-hour showdown averaged 14.4 million viewers Tuesday night.

According to Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, the opening salvo in the “Jeopardy!” GOAT tourney beat out every ABC broadcast since the season began. Until the start of the syndicated show’s special primetime run, ABC’s top draw was its Nov. 13 broadcast of the CMA Awards (11.3 million viewers).

To quote Brad's answer in the second Final Jeopardy: "Ken es el hombre!"

That was an overwhelming victory. Even with the other two contestants, final scores combined it would still not be enough to win. I kind of wish that Brad wins at least one now so they can all be on the board. I kind of also wish that James gets a second one to make it seem feel like a close race. Interesting how Jame's fate is almost always determined by the daily doubles. If he gets them, and gets them right, then he's practically locked in, as seen here, his regular season play, and tournament of champions. But if he fails to get them, or gets them wrong, then he just had no chance and just pretty much has to play to limit Ken's victory as much as possible

That 1st final jeopardy question was ridiculously Easy , I thought it would be about some random obscure senate election from the 1800s .

Don't know any of those, but fun fact:

Holzhauer is German and means Woodchopper or Lumberjack in English.

Rutter seriously needs to stop doing seventy quadrillion True Daily Doubles if he wants a snowball's chance in hell at becoming the GOAT.
