GOP winning Ag Commissioner. Assuming DeSantis' popularity holds up, there's no way he loses in 2022. Patronis and Moody both seem pretty uncontroversial, so I could see DeSantis' reelection coattails taking down Fried

One-term governor Kasich, two-term governor Corbett, Gov. Charlie Crist, and current Sen. Bill Nelson can attest to the reliability of approval ratings/general election numbers three years before the actual election as predictors of future performance. DeSantis might be very popular right now, but these things can change fairly quickly and dramatically, and there’s no way in hell he’d be "safe" in another Trump midterm (FL isn’t the solid Republican state Atlas is making it out to be either).

It will of course depend a lot on who is in the White House, but given the relative closeness of Fried's victory, I would say she is more likely to lose.

I'm not sure if FL-Sen counts as a statewide office in this scenario, but Dems seem to be lining up the cards for a serious push there in 2022. Murphy is a good candidate, she's removed from the last generation of FLDP inflexiblitity and factionalism (that has rewarded them with only a reputation of idiocy), and the GOP seems likely to give her a less favorable district in the next round of Redistricting.

While it does depend somewhat on who wins the presidency, I think it's more likely that Democrats win one other statewide race in a Democratic midterm than it is that Republicans sweep in a second Trump midterm, so I voted for the second option.
