Consensus U.S. House plan out now.

Augusta would move to the 2nd District under bipartisan redistricting deal

The only plan where the two parties have yet to reach agreement is  the State Senate plan (the parties are apparently still far apart there).
I'm fine with this map. RIP Jared Golden though.

ME-02 moves a point left from Biden/Trump. Not sure how that dooms Golden.
I don't think it will be enough to save him.

He'll probably be fine.  Maine has ranked choice voting and he's got a very moderate voting record (most moderate in the House?).   Plus the GOP doesn't really have any superstar in Maine to take him on.

I would think Bruce Poliquin has a pretty decent shot at flipping his old seat back.

The redistricting probably means that ME-02 is a Lean or Likely R for the 2024 re-elections but this also means that Golden has a much better chance at holding on.

The Maine House has passed all 4 maps (congressional, state senate/house, and county commissioner) with a 2/3 vote. The Maine Senate has followed suit.

This is the final Maine map:

Gov. Mills has signed it into law:

To not do it if it can be helped, but if they have to choose between splitting a municipality or a county, they'll split the county.

I made a Democratic gerrymander of Maine. ME-02 is Clinton +1 in 2016 and Biden +5 in 2020.
