Just stuck it out to be able to see the Pope's second retirement this month. I wish he got to see the Pope's movie debut too, but the health may not have held out.
Every afternoon in high school he was the voice echoing in the bus for an hour a day and for my younger childhood, the voice of every car trip. While I was not a listener for the last four or so years, this still feels like the end of an era. A revolutionary, yet still among the last of his kind in our world moving just a little too fast.
Thank you Don for your life of good works and filling a niche that all real New Yorkers needed!
