When will Russia annex Belarus?

I know a Belarusian guy who has lived here in Italy for like seven years but very soon will go back to Belarus for the university. I should ask him what he thinks of Lukashenko and of all this situation with Russia.
He's weird, he's a self-styled "communist" but in a trollish way and sometimes has had right-wing flares. I guess it's pretty stereotypical Belarusian?

He thinks that as long as Lukashenko and Putin are leaders the annexation will never happen.
He also said that he does not mind Lukashenko.

The Belarusian president, Alexander Lukashenko, and the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, have expressed confidence that all problems that had arisen in Belarus would soon be resolved, the Kremlin said.

“These problems should not be exploited by destructive forces seeking to harm the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the union state,” the Kremlin said in a statement on Saturday.

He suggested the impact of the protests might spill beyond Belarus’s borders. “There is a need to contact Putin so that I can talk to him now, because it is not a threat to just Belarus any more,” said Lukashenko, according to the state news agency Belta.

He said: “Defending Belarus today is no less than defending our entire space, the union state… Those who roam the streets, most of them do not understand this.”

I have now had the opportunity to ask him.

He apparently likes Tikhanovskaya more than Lukashenko and would be glad if he were gone, but he does not have strong opinion on these matters.

Who knows. Definitely not while Lukashenko is alive.
And i have suspicion that after Lukashenko Belarus will become more pro-western; not to degree of Ukraine (there will be huge problems with construction of national not-friendly-towards-russia identity), but to some degree
