Also, this idea that socialists are 'against work' is a huge strawman.  Socialism is about owning the fruits of your own labor, rather than selling it to someone else.

If you think your boss is entitled to what you create because he gave you the tools and raw materials, then why is he not also entitled to your wife because he gave you the job you use to support her?  We have a word for people like that.  It starts with C, and it's not 'capitalist'.

This is blatantly false as I have asked every socialist what we should do with non workers and they always give the answer of feed them its the humane option despite the fact feeding non workers would require stealing from workers.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_each_according_to_his_contribution

Still, while letting people die for sloth might be the rational choice, I don't regard it as the moral one.  This is the main dilemma of whether we value material goods over human life.

Then is it moral to steal from worker a to feed non worker B?
Im arguing this in a purely communist society too(which will never happen)

What if Worker A refuses to give up his fruit?

Then Worker A suffers the moral and practical consequences of disregarding the community he serves, which in turn serves him.  The same can be said of the able-bodied worker who acts in a similar manner, but death is obviously the more severe penalty.

Great HONER!

The redistributed wealth is the value made by that worker that was stolen through wage theft.

The meme is missing a lot of subtext, mainly the coercion forcing people from having adequate compensation present in the workplace, elite imposed pop culture, and security forces. There is no way to truly consent in this system, or do what one wishes to do, without pushback.
Dule make a nature is opression, meme too(hes talking about how no work is starvation.)

Did you post this in a different thread a couple weeks ago, or did you steal this from twitter?

I posted it in r/PoliticalCompassMemes about a week ago. If it made it to Twitter from there I wouldn't be surprised; I got 16k points from it.

of course you use reddit

That was pretty much the first post I'd ever made on the site TBH. I don't like the site's layout but I wanted to share my favorite Chinese roommate quotes with a wider audience.
I actually stopped posting on reddit after the forced update layout.  They force you to use it and prevent the old format . I like no css old reddit.

Not that I endorse posting on reddit at all, but you can restore the old aesthetic by going to old.reddit.com instead of www.reddit.com.
Ik that but it switches you back when logged in to force the updated version.

Where do you put your political views today and how have they evolved?

Hello, lfromnj! For much of my childhood I was a fairly conventional neoconservative, as I grew up in a Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Mark Levin household. In my mid-late teens I was in more of a libertarian phase before becoming more communitarian. That third phase had much to do with college--I had economic prospects that I didn't think fairly highly of, and I was in sociology and CJ classes where the deleterious effect of poverty and welfare cuts on social order were discussed. This was at its height in 2016, primarily because it seemed a lot of conservative politicians had staked their defining issue of what civilization was around tax rates, which struck me as silly and rather petty, so I adopted the opposite view. I've definitely calmed down since then and I'd say my ideological stances generally tend to prioritize public order, social integration, family affordability, and so on. Among more right-wing friends I'm still definitely open to looking like a squishy liberal because democratization and the threat of de-democratization are issues that are fairly important to me (owing to academic concentration), so regardless of policy preferences I'd take issue with certain C. European leaders.

To some extent these issues aren't reflected in my policy priorities, however, which, owing to the times we live in, would probably rank environmental stuff fairly close to the top. My turnaround on environmental issues specifically has been rather contextual--I think it's fairly obvious that weather is changing, and as a cold weather guy, I'm not particularly fond of this. Were I to self parody right now, I'd also mention (a) that hotter weather increases crime rates; and (b) traditional American values involve snowy New England Christmases, so my stance is fairly conservative. I've also got a weakness for fitness issues, which I often display only sarcastically, here and in real life.
Closest I got !

(To be clear, Bloomberg can do what he wants, but I'm sick of the Democrats acting like they're the "money out of politics" party when they routinely outspend their opponents and take donations from public-sector unions.)

The difference is that Democrats will still criticize Bloomberg all the time and nobody's going to change their position on an issue because of his spending.  Republicans, meanwhile, are terrified of the NRA and essentially delegate their entire policy on guns to the organization and have to constantly kiss its ass and defend the indefensible.

What evidence is there that Republicans are "terrified" of the NRA, or that Democrats actually follow through on their rhetoric about Bloomberg, for that matter?

They are terrified of the NRA, due to the power the endorsement has(5 million voters)

According to the Harris County Clerk, they will be doing a continuous 24-hour voting site in a couple weeks for third shift workers and night workers. That’s quite an operation

Yes, Harris will be doing 8 24-hour voting sites on the Thursday before the election.

Harris is CURRENTLY doing drive through voting.

People are sleeping in what a visionary Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo is. She has a bright future.

If I lived there I'd vote at like 2am just for the novelty.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a universal law of comedy that good jokes tend not to go on and on and on. Unless, of course, it's the longest joke in the world.

I mean the s019 utopia greentext is great and its quite long Tongue
