Am I the red NJ avatar beside Plato, or is that one representative of all of us?

Either way, you keep managing to outdo yourself!

I just assumed its a representation of all who gave that avatar, especially in the case of R-OR where some people kind of associate OSR and myself as relatively similar

Yeah, probably. And I didn't mean to say narcisstic with what I said before. Being part of a meme is fun (well, sometimes) and I will gladly share it with Cookiedamage, darklordoftech, Ray Goldfield, and S019.

I didn't interpret it as narcissistic personally

I know. But in case anyone else did I thought I should clarify.

Chairman Sanchez's sig (which I still don't fully understand) had me feeling inspired tonight, so I did a thing:

I can think of many better things than cowering in a septic tank. (Why else is all that toilet paper there?)

It's the currency of the post-apocalyptic world.

Why would anyone stuck alone in an underground bunker need any form of currency?  You only need currency if you're interacting with other people.

The point of the bunker is to emerge healthy, strong, and well-fed after five years in a lawless world of cannibals and to rule them like a king by monopolizing the TP supply.

What do cannibals need with toilet paper?  Frankly, if you emerge from that bunker as a well-fed person in a world of cannibals, you'll be a much more tempting target. You should aim to be John Gaunt, not John Fatted Calf when you leave the bunker.

brah remember when I had a dream that anarchist cannibals took over America and they were better than politicians because at least anarchist cannibals r honest about what they want, and I posted about it on the forum here and the man deleted it bcuz they couldn't handle the truth?

Everybody needs TP. Remember, I'm talking here about regular people who had to resort to cannibalism to survive in the post-apocalyptic world.

If God (or evolution) had intended man to have toilet paper, we'd have built in toilet paper roll holders.

Are different brands of toilet paper going to be the equivalent of currency exchanges? Is one sheet of European Charmin Ultra going to be worth 10,000 Venezuelan Scott one-plys?

Wait, is that me with the S-CA avatar this time? I know it's normally OC, but that wouldn't make sense here since he's not really a socialist. Am I finally getting the honor of featuring in a John Dule meme? Shocked

Actually precious metals haven't moved much and the only way people have made money on them was if they either shorted them before the dip or bought at the bottom.

That price gouging is better assumes everyone can afford to meet their minimum needs at the temporarily inflated prices. The honest answer is that there is no simple universally equitable solution to short term demand or supply shocks.  However, for the most common case of a weather-related shock, price gouging laws have generally worked okay.
