Definitely 2000 where she handily won a pretty tough election.

Her 08 primary campaign was horrible and gives her 16 campaign a run for its money. Obama was a great candidate but if she'd run a half decent campaign she'd have won and he'd have had to stay in the Senate and wait for 2016.

Her big theme in 08 was "experience" despite the fact that she didn't have much and that it was a "throw the bumbs out" election where that wasn't what people were looking for. She constantly brought up the potentiality of being the first female President, which is nice, but not a reason to vote for her in and of itself. Obama by contrast almost never played the "first black president" card during that campaign which was much smarter. People are going to talk about that no matter what in either case, talking about it yourself just looks cheap and like you want people to vote for you just because of gender/race.
