Were people who preferred McCain over Bush often the same people who preferred Bradley over Gore and vica versa?

At least in New Hampshire, independent voters who voted in the respective party primaries tended to prefer McCain or Bradley. That might have been due to their more "outsider" positioning respective to the frontrunner.

Bradley was probably hurt by many independent minded Democrats voting McCain to try to stop Bush.
