I saw it this past weekend and I thought it was one of the best movies of the year. If you've seen it, what are your thoughts?

I saw it last Friday. It's a good movie but not some masterpiece like many people say.
It's fun to see James Bond and Captain America having a blast in their atypical roles and the mystery is well-done.
Ana de Armas is sympathetic but bland, and the rest of the characters are just caricatures.
And there were a couple of plot holes that bothered me.

It wasn't that bad but the unnecessary politics was very very distracting in a bad way as was Daniel Craig's atrocious attempt at a southern accent.

That's Rian Johnson for you.

That said, as much as I despised 'The Last Jedi' and was completely blase about 'Looper,' this film does look interesting and suggests that maybe Johnson should just avoid science fiction altogether. I'll give it a chance, but probably when it comes to cable or streaming though.

Loved it, LOVED the politics, did a review in the "Oscars, awards season and well-made films" thread on page 2 or 3.
