Go wild.

Personally, I have grown rather tired of it, but I sort of understand how people like it.

I concur with Old School Republican that you can't really hear that stuff all the time for almost an entire month.

Good in small doses, generally all modern remakes are bad though.

I would be interested in hearing what pop punk hipster Christian Christmas music sounds like.

Asking if someone like Christmas music is like asking someone if they like "music", as Christmas music covers pretty much every possible genre of modern music.

But FF.

Horrible music! But that's mostly because there are very rarely any new songs that fit into that category. Seriously, all I can think of is that Mariah Carey song from like 25 years ago. What was the last new Christmas song to be introduced and enter the mainstream? WHAM's "Last Christmas" in the 1980's?

Not only that but I'm kind of a Grinch or Scrooge in general when it comes to Christmas. So the music doesn't even appeal to me in the first place. But if it had more variation maybe it wouldn't be so infuriating.

I'd hate to spend time at a place that plays it all the time (well, I'd hate to spend a lot of time at a place that makes me listen to any kind of generic music).  But I don't and pretty much avoid it entirely.

New music isn’t necessarily better music. “White Christmas” is the oldest and perhaps best Christmas song IMO.

Mostly positive. My favourite non-traditional carols are:

Home for the Holidays, Perry Como (1954)
Mistletoe and Holly, Frank Sinatra (1957)
Dominick the Donkey, Lou Monte (1960)
Blue Christmas, various, (since 1964)
Christmas in Dixie, Alabama (1985)
Let It Be Christmas, Alan Jackson (2002)
Born on Christmas Day, Brad Paisley (2007)
Barcarola (You Must Be a Christmas Tree), Sufjan Stevens (2007)
Christmas in the Room, Sufjan Stevens (2008)
Have I Got a Present For You, Toby Keith (2008)

(Am I the most predictable person with my music boundaries in the history of western civilization?) There are plenty of others I enjoy, but some of the sounds have grown to be tiring.

The best Xmas song is of course, the Pogues "Fairytale of New York" followed by the Killers "Don't Shoot Me Santa"

No, but it would at least disrupt the monotony. Anyway, as I said, Christmas music just doesn't appeal to me anyway.

There's Christmas music and then there's Christmas Music™. "In the bleak midwinter" and "The Christmas Song" are some of the most moving pieces of music ever recorded, "In dulci jubilo" and "Linus and Lucy" some of the most entertaining, "Tomorrow shall be my dancing day" and "All I Want for Christmas Is You" some of the most irritating, the stuff on A John Waters Christmas some of the most so-bad-it's-good.

“White Christmas” is the oldest....Christmas song

Huh

Generally fairly bad with a lot of the rating due to the large amount it’s played. Christmas time also every year seems to get longer and start earlier, tbh I wish we could just have a break from it for just one year. It comes too soon, time goes by fast when you start getting older.

I always hear White Christmas as a crypto-white-nationalist hymn. I'm sure it didn't sound as secretly racist bsck when it first came out. The Hwhite (lol) guy sings about how his town used to be white only and he didn't have to say "happy holidays" to brown people back in the days before immigration reached his community.

Movie idea... guy is alt-right but also closeted gay and is strongly attracted to a local Mexican man. It's a christmas movie, so in the end, the racists accept that he's in love with a brown man, and his boyfriend accepts that he's a nazi. It's called Alt-Alt-Right.
