I'm glad to announce that the Adastra Movement has undergone a change, forming the AFP. Our main color is officially Teal, though our old colors of Red and Dark Grey can be used to avoid confusion with the ACP in maps.

SPACE EXPLORATION: We believe that one of the keys to moving not just Atlasia, but all of humanity into the future, is to explore and colonize space. We could put a base on the moon in a matter of years, maybe even less, and open up a world of new opportunities. Helium-3 mining is a big possibility, and could potentially bring us into an age of nuclear fusion energy.

FIGHTING DEATH AND AGING: I'll summarize our reasons in a series of quotes.

No parent would ask the Reaper of Age to wrinkle their child's skin, weaken their bones, dim their vision and their minds, cripple them in over a thousand ways over decades to ultimately kill them, to "give their life meaning."

Just because something is natural doesn't mean that it's good or necessary.

FREEDOM OF FORM: We want to make it possible for everyone to become what they desire most. Simple as that. and this totally isn't a ploy so that I can become my fursona irl

ECONOMIC EQUALITY: We believe that currently, we are moving in the right direction on the issue of economic equality. We would cut taxes on the lowest percentages of the population, while continuing to raise them on the wealthy. A tax on robots is one of the biggest ones that we believe can also help with the next plank:

DEALING WITH AUTOMATION/UBI: It's inevitable. Whether it will be 50 years or 15, automation will take over millions of jobs. We need to find ways to deal with this, and we have finally settled on UBI as a solution. $1,000 a month, tax free, to every adult citizen. No questions asked. Not only would this stimulate the economy as millions would have more than they currently do to spend, but it would also provide a good safety net for those who are forced out of work by a robot. Would this be costly? Of course it would. Would it be worth it? I believe so.

This convention will begin on Monday, January 27th (I would start it now but I am still in my hometown campaigning!)

However the sign in period starts now, and ends on January 31st. After that we will have votes on endorsements, potentially some bylaws if it is deemed necessary, and members can introduce edits to the platform that will be voted on, and will pass with 2/3 of members present voting AYE. This convention does not currently have a set end date, but we're only booked here until the 5th so after that we'll have to just gather in the desert.

The fact that I have received the nomination from you people proves that this movement is far beyond party. It isn't about pushing an agenda or my own personal gain, it's all about making sure that Atlasia is in good hands. I'm not running because I want the prestige and honor of being your president, that's just a nice little side bonus. The real honor comes from doing the right thing, putting in the work, and doing what you believe needs to be done in order to push our nation forward.

We're on the eve of the election, and the decision may come, and so I ask all Atlasians to make their best call. Vote for a candidate that will help make Atlasia a better place for all of God's children to live in. I trust this country to make the correct decision, and to do what's right for everyone.

Requesting the Atlasian Future endorsement for President.

Economic equality is one of my driving issues, and I'm glad it's a concern I share with this party. We've managed to enact the middle class tax cut component of the Atlasian Future platform as part of our stimulus. In the coming months, I plan to raise taxes on the rich-with an ideal of a top marginal rate in the 50-60% range. I have a proven record on this issue, having previously pushed for the rich and big corporations to pay their fair share in many bills. I'll make sure that we have a broad-based economic recovery where everyone benefits (so the opposite of the recovery from the rl GFC), and that the rich and big corporations (and in some cases the military) take the deficit reduction burden. We must protect vital government services and invest not cut in our future, and if I win we will.

Would a Federalist Vice President in a tie-breaking vote position really let such a plan go ahead? And would a Federalist backed ticket really be able to push for such a plan and get it done? Siren/Muaddib are too big of a risk to our progressive agenda. We need to stick with proven leadership that has the right plan.
