GA-GOV 2002 megathread
« on: November 4th, 2002, 8:43:27 pm »

Christ on a cracker. There is no way Georgia elects a Republican governor. They've had all Democrat governors since Reconstruction. Sonny Perdue is doomed. As for the Senate race, I remember when you guys thought Max Cleland would lose in 1996, and what happened there?

Georgia is not happening. PERIOD. Write it down.

See, the thing is this site did actually exist in 2002...

Although the present forum didn't come online until late 2003.

Please stop. Please. Before we get slaughtered in November, PLEASE stop giving Republicans easy ammunition to rile people up.

If someone is foolish enough to deny service to someone simply because they're colored, that's their foolish decision. It makes no sense from a business perspective. Let them go out of business on their own.

I didn't vote for the Kennedy/Johnson ticket and am undecided for November (having voted for Truman, Ike twice, and Nixon in 1960), but I support this decision.

The Democratic Party just lost my vote for the foreseeable future, unless they abandon this absolute nonsense and start paying attention to middle Americans again. Voting for Goldwater now.

Any calls for violence towards African-Americans will result in a ban.

One minor nitpick. Virginia would say "Negro Americans" or "Colored Americans" or something along those lines. "African-American" didn't become a widely used term until the 1980s.

You brought up Big Lyndon without including me? Tongue

And no one has included me in any of their scenarios yet, either.
