Jim Croce - "Bad Bad Leroy Brown"

And now, I'm listening to:

Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds  - "Don't Pull Your Love"

Update again:

Gordon Lightfoot - "If You Could Read My Mind"

Another entry:

Gordon Lightfoot - "Sundown"  (Gotta love Gordie!)

Norman Greenbaum - "Spirit in the Sky"

One of the few popular songs still played on the radio which directly refers to Jesus as the spirit, and living a good life can lead to heaven.  hehehe . . . I'd like to see U2 or P. Diddy or any other of those popular bands pull that off these days.  Smiley

Maxine Nightingale - "Right Back Where We Started From"

Holy sh**t, I remember that song.  1976 I believe.  I can't believe you actually have that on tape or CD.

That's freaky...I was singing along to that earlier this evening. I love Gold 104 on sunday nights Smiley 'Good Times, Great Classic Hits' www.1043fm.com.au

Their homepage looks like something out of the 70s, if you look at the bands. Maybe 80s.

You can listen online. I'm going to bed, but you can listen alongside me. The DJ is absolutely awful for the graveyard shift, but the songs are good.

Alternatively, there's TripleM www.mmmelb.com.au which is my usual station-about 60% MMM; 30% Gold, 10% others. You can listen online to triple M too.

You're right.  That is pretty freaky.  How often does that song come on the radio these days?

MODU is really showing his age, here. Tongue

On Gold, maybe once or twice a week?

So, me saying that I'm listening to Neil Diamond's "Solitary Man" right now wouldn't be too shocking?  Wink

"Vehicle" by The Ides of March.

I've always wanted to do a music video of this song, using a high school band in the background with an over-the-top drum major dancing in front of them.  Of course, the singer and the base guitarist would have to be off to the side.  hahaha . . . but I think it would be a kick-butt video.  Smiley  Especially with the all the trumpets blaring and swaying within the band.

Rock Lobster-B-52's

very weird song if i do say so

Yes, it is.  They have some good songs, but I personally can't stand (or don't understand) much of their work.  Almost makes me want to listen to Mary Prankster.  HAHAHA

I think the reason most people, including me, dont understand their music is because it was the eve of techno, and it was in between rock and techno and it gets really weird. It doesnt help that their lyrics make no sense.

It's just the lyrics.  I have no issue with the music itself (I was around when it was happening).  Smiley
