Even if Biden runs- there is a good chance he loses in the Primary. Although this almost never happens... Age/ concern over health capacity ... is one reason that makes this situation different. I also think the risk of losing- is a big reason Biden may end up not running (to ensure he ends long career at President... rather than risk ending a ousted in Primary).

But nationwide polls are very important. The early primaries will set the tone:

The latest NH Primary had Biden in 2nd Place by 1pt (with only 16% support). Harris is in 7th or 8th place with about 6% support.

Also- Iowa isn't naturally fertile ground for Biden. In 2020 Iowa Caucus, he finished 4th (with only 14%). Harris did not meet the threshold to get any votes.

Biden. Will. Not. Lose. A. Primary.

This is where I stopped reading. Absolutely 0 chance Biden loses the primary if he runs again. Believing otherwise is pure delusion.

There won't even be a serious challenger. Maybe some fringe left-winger like Nina Turner that gets nowhere. Even Liz Warren and Ro Khanna de facto endorsed Biden for reelection.

Prediction: Mike Pompeo drops out in debt and with 0 delegates after getting 1.3% of the vote in New Hampshire.

Seriously, who is asking for a Mike Pompeo campaign?

He wins all the Langley precincts by Assad margins but doesn’t get a single vote elsewhere.

Mike Pompeo would most likely take votes from Ron De Santis, not Donald Trump.

Gaetz has pulled out of the Trump event this evening blaming "the weather".

Sounds like it's going to be a bit quieter than Trump was planning this evening...

BREAKING NEW ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

ASA HUTCHINSON

Said he was considering, not announcing.

Another candidate who would be lucky to make it to Iowa.

I don't see how he loses against anyone but Desantis, and that's with a concerted effort against him. The monster has been created and allowed to roam unchecked for too long for there to be a viable candidate against him. Can't naysay him too hard or you alienate the base.

A lot can happen in two years; in 2014, I thought Rand Paul was gonna be a frontrunner and never even considered Trump.

I wonder if Biden opts against running if it becomes apparent DeSantis beats Trump in the primaries. I could see him itching for a rematch against Trump but does he really want to run against someone half his age? But could be wishful thinking.
