In the list, I included only economists who were living in 1969, the first year of this prize, but are not living now.

Of these, Hyman Minsky.

I’m also fairly partial to Schumpeter, Polanyi, Wynne Godley and Robert Skidelsky.

Schumpeter and Keynes were born in 1883. They could have lived until 1969, but they didn't. Probably they would have won the prize if they were living after 1969.

I know embarrassingly little about economics but I just want to let Atlas know that when I was a little kid I went to a costume party at Robin Hanson's house.

My condolences.

Reminder: it's not actually a Nobel Prize. It's the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.
Quote
The prize was established in 1968 by a donation from Sweden's central bank Sveriges Riksbank to the Nobel Foundation to commemorate the bank's 300th anniversary. As it is not one of the prizes that Alfred Nobel established in his will in 1895, it is not technically a Nobel Prize.
