No.  Women already have a hard time getting elected why would being a lesbian be better than a gay man.  Buttigieg is doing better than most of the female candidates and he was a virtual unknown 6 months ago.

There is a theory that straight men find lesbians to be sexy and attractive whereas they feel icky about gay men. But I think our society has grown out of that stereotype, so I'll agree with you and say no, the only people who object to the thought of a gay man as President would be just as likely to object to lesbians.
