... is Pete Buttigiegs campaign the real-life version of Napoleon Dynamite ?

Pete and „the Blacks“:

Even the dance of his supporters is similar to the dance in the movie.

Vote for Pedro !

I saw a tweet calling him the insanely cursed version of Ben from Parks and Rec, which i think is pretty accurate.

This is quite the logical leap.

If Buttigieg is Napoleon Dynamite though, him being nominated might make Idaho a tossup.

Cartman is smarter and more high functioning on a basic level than Trump.

Trump as Cartman kinda, sorta works...maybe (especially if we’re talking Cartman from the early-to-mid seasons), but the Napoleon Dynamite-Buttigieg comparison really doesn’t work at all imo*, even if you really don’t like Buttigieg.  The anti-Buttigieg caricature would be the gay couple in American Beauty who are [in a joke that worked much better back in 1999] the most normal, boring, and conservative people in their rich, lily-white suburb in every except for their sexual orientation.

Of course, I don’t think that’s an accurate description of Buttigieg either, but I’d argue it works much better than Napoleon Dynamite and fits more with how anti-Buttigieg folks like Sawx (and presumably yourself) appear to see him.

*For one thing, Buttigieg is one of the smartest guys running and incredibly comfortable in his own skin in a way that I suspect makes him come across as very Presidential on a superficial level despite what even I acknowledge is a significant lack of experience.  Those two things (especially the latter) kinda kill the Napoleon Dynomite comparison in the crib as one of the character’s defining features was his awkward lack of self-confidence or even much of a personality until the end.  Also, he’s kind of an idiot Tongue

Cartman, as normally written, is WAY smarter than Trump.  Cartman regularly plays a long con out successfully, Trump does not.  Certainly there are many similarities, "respect my authoritah" are big parts of both of their personalities when given the reins of power.  Both are blinded to certain facts by huge biases that they are not smart enough to notice and do something about.  Of course that is probably true of all living things, they're both way better at it than average.  They both act like jackasses when they think they're getting away with something, lash out when confronted and are quick to play the victim when they think it will earn them some cheap sympathy.  Again, these are all things we all do from time to time, they just do it way better than most of us and are more obvious about it.
