Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and members of the British Royal Family spend time and live in Sandringham, Norfolk, England from December to February, the winter months, to celebrate Christmas and New Year's.

U.S. President Donald Trump and his family bought Mar-a-lago in 1985, in Palm Beach, Fla, a place for wealthy Americans.

Would you want your own holiday homes?

Yes.  Nothing this ostentatious obviously, but a nice Alpine ski chalet sounds like an ideal place to spend Christmas with the family.

What would be your Thanksgiving Eve/Christmas Eve traditions?

If you have the resources to own such an opulent place, then surely you can afford the staff to keep it up as well. Would I want a vacation home right now? Definitely not, considering the roof would leak, and then I wouldn't know about it for weeks and then would spend my vacation fixing it. O_o

Nah, too much upkeep. Though a mountainside chalet would be much more tempting than something like Mar-A-Lago.

No. I would rather not be infected with legionnaire's disease or whatever like at Mar-a-Lago, if that place is anything to go on.

True.

After you leave the retreat on January 2 or 3 or whenever, you will need a housekeeping staff to upkeep the place, mow the lawn from April to October, etc, etc.

Also, probably not keep personal belongings there.

You will have to keep your second home's keys with you and all the other garage keys, etc.
