Haley is a great fit for the Republican primary electorate in most of the country except the West. Haley would appeal to moderates in New England and be strongest in the Southern U.S. Not to mention that her home state is South Carolina, so she'd have an early advantage in that crucial state. VP Pence, in my view, would be too extreme for the mainstream and Trump's unpopularity will precipitate the need for a fresh face.
