If Trump is defeated next year :
LaRose (R) : 59%
Turner (D) : 41%

If Trump is reelected next year :
LaRose : 54%
Turner (D) : 46%

Green party candidates don't fare well in Ohio.

Green party candidates don't fare well in Ohio.

This is if she was the democratic nominee, like she was in 2014.

Considering Turner lost by 24 points in 2014, I suspect she'd get blown out. Maybe not 24 points badly again, but she would still easily lose.

Yeah, it'd be worse.

I'd vote for her if I still lived there, but she'd struggle to reach 40%.

Nina Turner can take a long walk off a short pier. I will say that the Cleveland newspaper did an interesting cartoon of her when she became the Senate Democratic leader: https://www.clevescene.com/images/blogimages/2009/12/02/1259770857-turnercartoon.jpg

She is Bernie Sanders campaign manager and if Bernie have high approvals by 2022, Ohio will once again be a battleground if Tim Ryan run for Senate

Your analysis is on the same level as "Bernie will win west virginia because socialism 😎 "

If Tim Ryan runs against Portman,  as a result of Biden winning OH in 2020, Nina Turner can be SOS. It's an uphill task, but Trump can end up losing OH, after all.

This would be one of the few cases where I would actually donate to a Republican.

Not only is the humiliation and defeat of Nina Turner a very important matter, but she's such an incompetent moron and embarrassment to the party that it's best she stay as far away from us as possible.  Having her as the face of the party in Ohio might cost us house or senate seats down the road.

I'd say the same for AOC's Republican opponent, but that race is safe D.  AOC is doing far more electoral damage to the party than her one seat.

Given that she lost by 25% last time she won statewide, and Ohio has gotten even more Republican since then, probably worse. Granted 2014 was a pretty bad year to be a Democrat, but if there's a Democratic President she'd probably lose by over 30%. If Trump's president still she might lose by 15% or less due to it being year 6 and all, but she's also a uniquely bad candidate that could underrun the lean of the state by a lot.

Republican Ohio is overrated the only office Rs are assured in 2022 is Gov. If Tim Ryan runs as a result of Bernie or Biden winning Ohio, Portman can be defeated and Nina Turner will win
