There is no way he would do that well in the South, As the vp candidate I would be very aggressive   and rip Santander over and over for all the times he mocked people of Texas and other southern states as well along with conservatism.

Although President Johnson exhibits occasional bouts of taking a generic centrist stance by default, especially when he doesn't seem to know that much about the particular issue at hand, I'd still gladly vote form him over Santander.
