Lol never thought I’d come across this 2000 scenario.

Assuming: (1) Barack Obama won the 1996 Senate election in IL at the age of 35; (2) he narrowly defeats Vice President Al Gore for the 2000 Democratic nomination for President & (3) he selects Senator Joe Biden from DE as a running mate.



Bush - 300 EV 48.9%
Obama - 238 EV 46.0%

Get real people. Obama had no traction. He would be blown out. This might be the only election after both men could legally run where I would say trump is actually more likely to win

Yeah I was being quite generous to Obama here. IA, MO, MN, WI, MI, PA and ME could all reasonably flip in this scenario.
